| Lindsay is a food stylist, recipe developer and food writer living and working in Toronto. Her love of food began early and she has continued to build her career around a passion for food, wine and entertaining. Lindsay has over 9 years of combined education and work experience within the food and media industry. She has earned a degree in Physical and Heath Education from the University of Toronto and is in the final stages of earning a degree in Food and Nutrition from Ryerson University. She has also completed one year of Media Arts from Ryerson University. Lindsay continues to hone her skills by regularly taking Food and Media courses at George Brown College and Sommelier courses through the International Sommelier Guild. Lindsay created DeLish, a trendy catering, cooking instruction and event design company which operated successfully for 5 years. For 3 consecutive years, DeLish was recognized as one of Toronto’s best catering companies by Toronto Life’s Entertaining Guide. In 2007, Lindsay successfully transitioned from operating DeLish to become a freelance food stylist, recipe developer and food writer within the editorial, advertising and television industries. She was the primary food stylist for the recently released STOP community centers cookbook, Good Food For All, published by Simon & Schuster. Additionally, Lindsay worked in the Chatelaine test kitchen where she developed and tested recipes and wrote monthly food briefs. Currently Lindsay is writing for and developing recipes and food styling for magazines inculuding Chatelaine, Today's Parent, Clean Eating and Glow Magazine. Lindsay has made several television appearances on Breakfast Television, Global News and Canadian Learning Television. Her passion is contagious and she has a modern approach to recipe development and food styling that focuses on fresh, healthy and seasonal ingredients with vibrant flavours. Her dedication to green and healthy living was showcased through her food blog, The Delish Bite, which followed her on her journey to learn about and experience the Canadian green food scene. |
